NETGEAR Launches Exium: A Security Solution for Small and Medium Enterprises

NETGEAR has unveiled a significant security solution aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Following a strategic acquisition earlier this year, the company introduces Exium, which stands out as the industry’s first all-in-one Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and hybrid firewall solution. This innovation is tailored specifically for SMEs and the managed service providers (MSPs) that support them.

Cybersecurity Challenges for SMEs

According to the Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report, SMEs experienced over 3,000 cybersecurity incidents in 2025—nearly four times the number of incidents reported by larger enterprises. Despite the mounting risks, many existing security solutions tend to be overly complex or fragmented. This complexity often hampers smaller businesses from effectively implementing and managing security measures.

A Unified Security Solution

The introduction of the Exium SASE platform is a direct response to this pressing issue, as articulated by NETGEAR for Business President and GM Pramod Badjate. Exium fulfills the company’s vision by providing SMEs with an integrated solution that merges advanced threat protection, AI-powered zero-trust network access (ZTNA), secure web gateway (SWG), SD-WAN, and firewall capabilities—all within a single, user-friendly platform.

This innovative platform enables SMEs to replace outdated and fragmented security systems with a modern, cloud-managed solution. Notably, all features can be accessed through a centralized and intuitive interface, which simplifies both network operations and security management. This streamlined approach empowers businesses to safeguard their data, users, and devices across various locations, including remote sites.

Easy-to-Use Protection for SMEs

Farooq Khan, Vice President of Software Security at NETGEAR, emphasizes the severity of cyber threats confronting SMEs. “Small and medium businesses are just as exposed to cyber threats as larger enterprises, if not more,” Khan states. “However, most security solutions are either too complicated or piecemeal for them to handle.” The integration of Exium with NETGEAR’s existing networking solutions offers SMEs an easy-to-use, enterprise-grade protection system, alleviating some of the burdens on internal IT teams.

Designed for Managed Service Providers

The Exium platform is specifically optimized for managed service providers. It includes multi-tenant management capabilities, allowing for streamlined service delivery. This scalable and cost-effective security framework equips SMEs with the necessary tools to establish a secure and resilient network infrastructure. With this robust solution in place, businesses can dedicate more attention to growth and innovation, rather than worrying about security management.

Availability of Exium

Exium is now available for purchase from NETGEAR. Current partners or MSPs interested in becoming NETGEAR affiliates, as well as SME customers seeking the right partnership, can find more information on the company’s website.
