A significant highlight was Emirates’ announcement of a major procurement, where the airline placed an order for 65 Boeing 777-9 aircraft and 8 Airbus A350-900 jets, valued at approximately $41.4 billion. This latest order boosts Emirates’ total wide-body aircraft orders to a remarkable 375, with estimated delivery schedules extending through 2038.

Additionally, Flydubai took a proactive step by signing a memorandum of understanding with Boeing to purchase 75 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, valued at around $13 billion. This move aligns with Flydubai’s ongoing commitment to support Dubai’s long-term aviation growth plans.

Confidence in Global Aviation Recovery

These record-breaking orders and the extensive commercial activities at the Dubai Airshow reflect a strong confidence in the global recovery of the aviation sector. The excitement generated during the event continues to build momentum in the aerospace and defense industries.

UAE’s Ambitions in Space

In a bid to reaffirm its ambitions within the global space sector, the Dubai Airshow 2025 introduced the largest Space Pavilion to date, developed in collaboration with the UAE Space Agency. The pavilion served as a focal point for innovation and collaboration among various stakeholders.

A dedicated two-day Space Conference highlighted the event, bringing together over 50 experts and astronauts. Discussions focused on the commercialization of space technologies, addressing challenges within the sector, and fostering international collaboration for future advancements.

Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability was another key theme at the Airshow, which provided sustainable aviation fuel for participating aircraft. Ground support operations were powered by environmentally friendly electricity and propane, a collaborative effort with Jetex to minimize carbon footprints. Moreover, all exhibition halls were powered entirely by renewable energy, demonstrating the industry’s commitment to promoting sustainable practices.

Operational Excellence by Team Dubai

The success of the event was significantly bolstered by the efforts of government entities forming Team Dubai. Their coordinated actions ensured high operational readiness, facilitating smooth visitor flow and effective management of event logistics throughout the week.
