SPTel, ST Engineering, Nokia, and Fortinet Launch Quantum Safe Services for Comprehensive Network Protection

SPTel, a joint venture company of ST Engineering and SP Group, has unveiled its new Quantum Safe Services, a cutting-edge solution designed to help organizations protect their networks from Quantum Threats. The offering is an enhancement to their National Quantum Safe Network Plus (NQSN+) solution.

In a strategic move, SPTel partnered with SpeQtral, a pioneer in quantum communications, to construct Singapore’s first nationwide quantum-safe network, NQSN+, under the appointment of the Infocomm Media Development Authority in November 2023.

The Quantum Safe Services provided by SPTel integrate advanced quantum encryption products from industry leaders such as ST Engineering, Nokia, and Fortinet. These products work seamlessly with existing IT infrastructures and networks, offering a scalable and plug-and-play model to cater to diverse business needs.

The solution by SPTel secures data at various layers, including the Physical layer with Nokia’s DWDM with Encryption, the Data Link layer with ST Engineering’s Encryptor, and the Network layer with Fortinet’s FortiGate Next-Generation Firewall with Encryption.

Titus Yong, CEO of SPTel, emphasized the importance of fortifying networks against potential quantum attacks in the era of evolving cyber threats. Through the collaboration with leading technology providers, SPTel aims to offer organizations a reliable and cost-effective Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) solution, leveraging their ultra-low latency network and advanced quantum encryption technologies.

The introduction of Quantum Safe Services signifies a significant step towards ensuring robust network protection against emerging threats, ultimately empowering organizations to safeguard their sensitive data effectively and proactively.
