ADGM Strengthens Abu Dhabi’s Global Talent Pipeline with 4,000 Participants at Third Virtual Career Fair

Abu Dhabi, UAE: The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), recognized as the international financial center (IFC) of the emirate, has successfully hosted its third Virtual Career Fair in collaboration with eFinancialCareers. This event, which took place in April, underscores ADGM’s ongoing commitment to enhancing talent development and solidifying Abu Dhabi’s status as a premier global financial hub. The first segment of this two-part event specifically targeted the Capital Markets and Wealth & Risk Management sectors, uniting a carefully selected group of professionals and leading employers from the financial services industry.

The fair attracted around 4,000 candidates from over 27 countries, showcasing participation from 33 prominent employers within ADGM’s expanding ecosystem. This year’s format was notably refined, featuring enhanced candidate screening processes and segmented sessions designed to foster deeper interactions between employers and prospective talent.

Enhanced Recruitment Pathways

In a bid to improve accessibility for job seekers, ADGM announced plans to integrate its Job Portal into future editions of the Virtual Career Fair series. This initiative aims to streamline recruitment pathways, thereby strengthening the connection between employers and professionals within ADGM’s ecosystem.

Salem Al Darei, CEO of ADGM Authority, highlighted the event’s significance, stating, “ADGM’s Virtual Career Fair continues to evolve in response to the growing demand for specialised talent across Abu Dhabi’s dynamic financial ecosystem. This year’s sector-focused approach has enabled more targeted connections between employers and high-calibre professionals, reinforcing the event’s role as a strategic platform for talent engagement. The strong participation reflects Abu Dhabi’s rising prominence as a centre for finance and wealth management. As ADGM’s growth as an international financial centre continues to support Abu Dhabi’s broader economic ambitions, human capital remains central to this progress, and our commitment to the emirate’s long-term talent development grows stronger.”

Global Participation and Industry Engagement

The Virtual Career Fair has garnered substantial global interest, further establishing ADGM as a preferred destination for financial talent. Notably, there was significant participation from UAE nationals eager to advance their careers in the Capital Markets and Wealth & Risk Management sectors.

Major industry players such as Citi UAE, HSBC Bank, Grant Thornton, and Black Swan Group were among the employers actively engaging with candidates during the fair. The event recorded over 14,000 visits to employer booths, facilitating interactions with key organizations like ADGM, HSBC, and Robert Walters. Of these visits, 1,303 resulted in meaningful career discussions.

The registered candidates hailed from diverse regions, including the UK, US, India, France, Singapore, Denmark, Hong Kong, China, South Africa, and the Philippines. They represented a wide array of over 31 sub-sectors within the Capital Markets and Wealth & Risk Management sectors, including Banking, Consulting, Wealth Management, Digital Banking & Fintech, and Private Equity.

Future Directions: FinTech & Digital Assets

Building on the success of this event, ADGM is set to host the second installment of its Virtual Career Fair series in October 2026, focusing on FinTech & Digital Assets. This upcoming edition aims to address the sector’s talent needs by connecting employers with qualified candidates and enhancing recruitment pipelines for roles that will shape the future of finance in Abu Dhabi.

ADGM’s Virtual Career Fair is part of a broader strategy to cultivate a sustainable and globally competitive financial ecosystem. By facilitating access to talent, capital, and innovation, ADGM continues to contribute to the UAE’s economic diversification agenda while empowering the next generation of financial professionals.
