ATERMES Advances AI-Driven Defence Ecosystem and Launches Dedicated MRO Division at Eurosatory 2026

In a significant move for the global defence landscape, ATERMES, a prominent French company specializing in advanced surveillance and security solutions, has announced its participation at Eurosatory 2026, scheduled from June 15 to 19 in Paris, France. This event serves as a pivotal platform for ATERMES to showcase its innovative portfolio, which integrates high-velocity automation with strategic human oversight to address contemporary operational challenges.

Showcasing Advanced Solutions

Central to ATERMES’ presentation is the introduction of ALTORE, a fully integrated counter-Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) designed to counter the increasing threat posed by hostile drones. This system employs a multi-layered approach to detection, identification, and neutralization, providing field commanders with a robust rapid-response capability against complex aerial threats. The collaboration with strategic industrial partners enhances the effectiveness of ALTORE, positioning it as a critical asset in modern defence operations.

Complementing ALTORE is SURICATE, ATERMES’ flagship AI-driven surveillance system, which has achieved full industrial manufacturing capacity. Following successful deployments across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, SURICATE has attracted considerable international attention. High-level live demonstrations are planned for the third quarter of 2026, both locally and at the ATERMES facility in France. Additionally, the BARIER tactical perimeter defence solution, featuring deployable networked border control beacons, rounds out ATERMES’ protective ecosystem, ensuring continuous situational awareness in challenging environments.

Launch of the MRO Division

In a strategic initiative to bolster its international presence, ATERMES is launching a dedicated Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) division. This new department aims to provide comprehensive lifecycle support and maintenance for deployed systems, leveraging decades of collaboration with tier-one defence primes as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM). By optimizing asset lifecycles and minimizing downtime, the MRO division is designed to enhance long-term operational readiness for frontline forces.

ATERMES has established a robust industrial cooperation framework, manufacturing critical systems and components for major defence industry players. This strategic business line is a growing revenue source, reflecting ATERMES’ recognized expertise and reliability within complex defence supply chains.

The Role of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is at the core of ATERMES’ technological roadmap, driving cognitive defence innovations. Each solution utilizes advanced algorithms for threat detection and data synthesis while ensuring essential human flexibility for mission oversight and intervention. ATERMES adopts a collaborative, customer-centric approach, integrating end-user operational realities into its research and development processes. This focus allows the company to co-develop tailored architectures that perform effectively in real combat scenarios.

Lionel Thomas, CEO of ATERMES, emphasized the importance of collaboration in innovation, stating that the company’s presence at Eurosatory 2026 underscores its commitment to developing intelligent, AI-forward defence systems capable of addressing evolving threats. As ATERMES expands its operations across the Middle East and Indian subcontinent, the company aims to empower international partners with enhanced visibility, tactical precision, and operational resilience in a complex global security environment.

Future Directions

ATERMES is dedicated to shaping the future of global defence technology through ongoing advancements in surveillance, protection, and networked defence capabilities. The company invites global defence stakeholders and military professionals to engage with its leadership and experience live demonstrations of its mission-ready technologies at the ATERMES pavilion during Eurosatory.

Visitors can find the ATERMES team at stand number B31, Hall 4 during the event.
