The UAE Cybersecurity Council has partnered with Veeam to enhance the nation’s cyber-resilience and bolster cybersecurity capabilities. This collaboration aims to develop essential skills, support trusted data management, and implement AI-ready security measures across the UAE.

The agreement establishes a comprehensive framework for cooperation that encompasses cybersecurity training, technical exercises, resilience preparedness, research and development, and strategic stakeholder engagement. Initiatives will include workshops, training programs, and technical sessions designed to equip both public and private sector organizations to effectively prepare for, respond to, and recover from cyber incidents.

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, emphasized the UAE’s commitment to fostering a secure and resilient digital ecosystem. He stated, “Our partnership with Veeam reflects the importance of trusted public-private collaboration in strengthening national cyber-resilience, advancing cyber-recovery capabilities, and supporting the secure adoption of AI and digital technologies.”

This partnership aligns with the UAE Cybersecurity Council’s Centre of Excellence framework, which prioritizes capacity building, emerging technology development, governance, and public-private collaboration. Veeam will contribute through training and certification programs, executive briefings, technical workshops, and recovery exercises. The collaboration will also focus on role-based learning and simulation environments to promote trusted data practices.

Amin Hanafieh, Regional Director for the Middle East and CIS at Veeam, remarked on the UAE’s leadership in cybersecurity, stating, “We are honoured to establish a partnership with the UAE Cybersecurity Council to help strengthen cyber-resilience, advance cybersecurity skills development, and support organizations in building secure, recoverable, and resilient digital environments.”

As organizations across the Middle East accelerate their digital transformation and AI initiatives, the need for robust cyber-resilience and trusted data management becomes increasingly critical. Mena Migally, Regional Vice President for EMEA East at Veeam, noted that this partnership underscores a long-term commitment to supporting the UAE’s cybersecurity ambitions while helping organizations build the necessary governance and recovery capabilities to innovate confidently.

This collaboration will also support the Council’s national priorities surrounding skills development, cyber recovery, data resilience, and the secure adoption of emerging technologies. For more details, visit Intelligent CISO.
