Genetec Launches Operations Center: Revolutionizing Physical Security Operations

Genetec, a prominent technology provider, has unveiled Operations Center, a cloud-based work management solution tailored for physical security operations. This new offering, available as part of Security Center SaaS or as a standalone product, is set to revolutionize how security teams collaborate, communicate, and manage their tasks.

The Operations Center addresses the common challenges faced by security operations teams, which often struggle with disparate work management tools or reliance on spreadsheets. This fragmented approach can hinder efficiency and collaboration. However, Operations Center integrates security dispatching, work ticketing, and activity tracking into a unified platform, enabling users to manage tasks more effectively, maintain real-time operational visibility, and collaborate seamlessly.

Christian Morin, Vice President of Product Engineering at Genetec, emphasized the importance of providing security operations professionals with effective tools. He stated, “Operations Center was created in close collaboration with security professionals specifically for their use. It aims to break down silos and enhance security operations, enabling them to work more efficiently and collaborate effectively across the organization.”

The solution has already garnered praise from Chris Autry, Managing Director at Brigham Young University, who noted the significant improvement in communication and collaboration since adopting Operations Center. The platform offers real-time collaboration, task management, and streamlined documentation and auditing capabilities, providing security officers with the tools they need to enhance efficiency and quality of work. Operations Center is poised to set a new standard in the physical security industry by offering a comprehensive solution that addresses key operational challenges and enhances overall security team performance.
