UAE Launches Ambitious Initiative to Train 5,000 Emirati Students in Advanced Technologies

In a groundbreaking move to bolster national talent, the UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, alongside the Emirati Human Resources Development Council (EHRDC), has partnered with global analytics leader SAS to launch the “5000 Digital Talents” initiative. This ambitious program aims to equip 5,000 Emirati students with essential skills in advanced technologies over the next five years.

Aligned with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the initiative seeks to enhance the UAE’s digital economy and empower its youth. By focusing on emerging technology sectors, the program is designed to prepare participants for leadership roles in a rapidly evolving global landscape.

SAS will play a pivotal role in this initiative, offering mentorship and specialized training courses tailored to equip students with practical, in-demand skills. “At SAS, we believe in the power of education and innovation to transform lives and economies,” stated Michel Ghorayeb, Managing Director at SAS UAE. “This initiative reflects the UAE’s commitment to investing in its most valuable asset—its people.”

The program targets university students in their final years, providing them with practical guidance and professional development opportunities. Participants will gain access to leading global partners in the digital sector, reinforcing the UAE’s efforts to cultivate a future-ready workforce capable of driving progress and addressing global challenges.

As the UAE positions itself as a global leader in technological innovation, the “5000 Digital Talents” initiative stands as a testament to the nation’s dedication to sustainable development and the empowerment of its youth. With this initiative, the UAE is not just investing in education; it is investing in a brighter, more innovative future.
