In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has released its 2025 Cybersecurity Outlook, highlighting critical technology trends and focus areas that organizations must prioritize to combat escalating cyber threats. With generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), cloud security, and supply chain resilience at the forefront, TCS experts emphasize the need for a proactive approach to cybersecurity.

Ganesa Subramanian Vaikuntam, TCS’s Global Head of Cybersecurity, stated, “With geopolitical shifts and evolving technology, global cybersecurity is undergoing a major transformation. Organizations must harness advancements like GenAI to enhance threat detection and response systems.” As cybercriminals increasingly exploit next-gen technologies, the urgency for robust security measures has never been greater.

The report identifies seven key trends shaping the cybersecurity landscape in 2025. Among them, the influence of GenAI is expected to rise significantly, transforming operations while simultaneously posing risks through advanced attacks such as deepfakes and phishing.
