OPSWAT Acquires Fend: A Strategic Move to Enhance Cybersecurity Solutions

OPSWAT Acquires Fend to Enhance Cybersecurity Solutions

In a landmark move to bolster its cybersecurity offerings, OPSWAT has officially announced the acquisition of Fend Incorporated, a company renowned for its innovative data diode technology. This strategic alliance is set to reshape the landscape of secure data transfer, particularly in sectors requiring the highest levels of security.

Fend’s specialized hardware creates a secure one-way communication channel, allowing data to flow from one network to another while preventing any reverse transmission. This unique approach is particularly valuable in high-stakes environments, including defense, industrial control systems, and critical infrastructure, where safeguarding information from external threats is essential.

“Fend’s solutions are a strategic addition to our portfolio,” stated Benny Czarny, CEO and Founder of OPSWAT. He emphasized that this acquisition significantly expands OPSWAT’s current offerings, which already include high-speed data diodes and unidirectional gateway solutions. The integration will enable OPSWAT to support a wider array of critical infrastructure needs, from mobile to cloud-based solutions.

Colin Dunn, CEO and Founder of Fend, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, stating, “Joining OPSWAT represents a significant opportunity for Fend, allowing us to provide our customers with an even broader range of cyber defenses.” Both leaders affirmed that by combining their strengths, they aim to deliver unparalleled security solutions to protect critical infrastructure on a global scale.

Frantz Casseus, Founder and Managing Director of Trafalgar Capital Partners, who facilitated the transaction, noted, “By integrating Fend’s cutting-edge technology, OPSWAT is poised to enhance its leadership in critical infrastructure security, ensuring resilience against sophisticated cyber threats.”

This acquisition reflects an urgent need in today’s digital age for robust protective measures as organizations face an escalating wave of cyber threats. As OPSWAT and Fend join forces, the tech industry watches closely for their next steps in redefining cybersecurity standards.
