The Nagpur Cyber Police have made a significant breakthrough by busting a major SIM card fraud operation, resulting in the arrest of two individuals from Uttar Pradesh. The police seized a total of 2,626 SIM cards and 40 mobile phones that were used in various online fraud activities.

This operation came in response to a complaint filed by a Nagpur resident who fell victim to these fraudsters, losing a substantial amount of Rs 11.40 lakh in the process. The police acted swiftly, initiating a case under the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act.

In a separate incident in Nagpur, a man was arrested for the murder of his father-in-law due to a family dispute, leaving the victim’s wife critically injured. Additionally, a tragic accident occurred in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district, where a six-year-old boy was electrocuted after coming into contact with a live wire exposed by a tree fall during a hailstorm.

These recent events underscore the importance of vigilance and caution in the digital age, where cyber fraud and crimes are prevalent. The Nagpur Cyber Police’s action serves as a warning to potential fraudsters and a reminder to the public to stay informed and alert against such criminal activities.
