Significant Growth in Emiratisation in the UAE’s Private Sector
The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has made a noteworthy announcement regarding the employment of Emiratis in the private sector. As of June 30, 2025, over 152,000 Emiratis are now employed across 29,000 companies, a milestone that aligns with the Emiratisation targets set for the first half of the year.

Emiratis are increasingly integrated into six key sectors: business services, intermediation, trade, repair services, construction, and manufacturing. They are taking on roles ranging from specialists to managers, filling essential positions that contribute significantly to each sector’s success.
Looking Ahead: Future Emiratisation Goals
As the second half of 2025 approaches, the MoHRE is optimistic about building on its current success. The ministry has set a goal of achieving a 1% increase in Emirati employment within organizations that have 50 or more employees. Moreover, companies in certain industries employing between 20 and 49 workers will also be mandated to hire at least one Emirati before the year concludes.
