Acronis Teams Up with Intel for Enhanced Cyber Protection

A New Era in Cybersecurity

Acronis, a leader in the fields of cybersecurity and data protection, has partnered with Intel to launch Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, now available on AI-powered PCs equipped with Intel Core Ultra processors. This innovative collaboration aims to deliver advanced, automated threat detection and remediation directly to endpoint devices without sacrificing performance.

Streamlining Cybersecurity for Providers

With the integration of Intel’s cutting-edge technology, managed service providers (MSPs), managed security service providers (MSSPs), and enterprises are positioned to enhance their cybersecurity efforts significantly. The collaboration facilitates faster and more efficient security solutions, ensuring organizations can respond swiftly to potential threats.

Real-Time Threat Detection

Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide real-time threat detection and remediation directly at the endpoint. By analyzing behavioral patterns, the software can effectively identify various threats, including ransomware, zero-day exploits, and fileless malware. This proactive approach minimizes risk and secures sensitive data before damage can occur.

Optimizing Performance with OpenVINO

One of the standout features of this new offering is its ability to utilize OpenVINO technology. This allows AI workloads to be managed by the processor’s neural processing unit (NPU), which minimizes the load on the central processing unit (CPU) by up to 92%, as indicated by internal performance tests. As a result, users will benefit from optimized performance, extended battery life, and smoother overall system operation.

Insights from Industry Leaders

Gaidar Magdanurov, President of Acronis, emphasized the importance of integrating AI-powered cybersecurity solutions. “Cyber protection must be natively integrated and AI-powered to address modern cyber threats,” he noted. This partnership not only empowers MSPs and corporate IT departments to provide real-time security at the endpoint but also minimizes the impact on system performance, safeguarding user productivity. Magdanurov believes that this collaboration simplifies IT security for both users and administrators.

Carla Rodríguez, Vice President and General Manager of Client Software Enabling at Intel, echoed this sentiment. She stated, “Together Intel and Acronis are delivering fast, AI-powered security right on the device.” By running complex security tasks on AI PCs with Intel Core Ultra processors, this partnership paves the way for advanced protection characterized by lower latency, improved performance, and enhanced privacy.

Conclusion

The collaboration between Acronis and Intel is setting a new standard in cybersecurity. By integrating AI capabilities with robust hardware, organizations can fortify their defenses against evolving threats while maintaining optimal system performance. As cyber threats continue to become more sophisticated, partnerships like this are essential for keeping data safe and ensuring smooth operations across various sectors.
