Acronis, a global leader in cybersecurity and data protection, has announced the appointment of Gerald Beuchelt as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). This strategic move comes as the company aims to bolster its global information security strategy and enhance its commitment to protecting data, applications, and systems across various sectors.

In his new role, Beuchelt will spearhead a global team of IT, security, and compliance professionals, overseeing Acronis’ corporate IT infrastructure, including help desk operations and server management. He will also play a pivotal role in advancing Acronis’ influence within the cybersecurity community through innovative research and threat intelligence initiatives from the Acronis Threat Research Unit (TRU).

“I’m particularly inspired by Acronis’ dedication to making security solutions scalable and accessible for all users,” Beuchelt stated. “My focus will be on continuously improving our security posture to address the increasingly complex threat landscape. Beuchelt brings over a decade of cybersecurity leadership experience, having previously served as CISO at Sprinklr Inc. and held key positions at LogMeIn and Demandware, Inc. His extensive background includes roles with the FBI’s Infragard program and the National Cyber Security Alliance, showcasing his commitment to public-private partnerships in cybersecurity.
