Following a swatting scare near the hospital, Sparrow promptly issued notifications to keep staff informed amid social media speculation. Just days later, when tragedy struck Michigan State University, Sparrow’s communication system allowed them to mobilize trauma surgeons and resources within 18 minutes of the first reported shots.
