ASIS International Unveils 2025 Global and Regional Governing Boards
December 6, 2023 – ASIS International has officially announced the members of its 2025 Global Board of Directors, alongside the Regional Boards for Asia Pacific, North America, Europe, and Latin America Caribbean. This significant development marks a pivotal moment in the organization’s commitment to global leadership and representation.
Taking the helm as ASIS International’s 70th President is Joe M. Olivarez from the United States, who will lead the organization into a new era starting January 1, 2025. He will be joined by Eddie Sorrells, CPP, PCI, PSP, also from the U.S., who will serve as President-Elect. The Executive Committee will further include Secretary/Treasurer Pablo Colombres, CPP from Argentina, marking a historic first as he becomes the first Latin American member to hold this position.
The newly appointed At-Large Directors reflect a diverse international representation, including professionals from Nigeria, Germany, and the U.S., among others. This diverse leadership team underscores ASIS International’s mission to enhance security practices worldwide.
Regional representation is equally robust, with Danny Chan leading the Asia Pacific Board from Singapore, Andrew Williams heading the European Board from the UK, Mark Folmer chairing the North American Board from Canada, and Marco Vega leading the Latin America Caribbean Board from Costa Rica.
The establishment of these regional boards is a strategic move to bolster ASIS International’s global governance structure, allowing the organization to better serve its members at all levels.
