Lucknow: Disturbing Case of Gang Rape Emerges Involving B.Tech Student

In a shocking incident that has sent ripples of outrage through Lucknow, a third-year B.Tech student from a university in Noida has come forward with grave allegations against four men, including a man she met on social media. The victim, a 25-year-old originally from Gorakhpur, filed a complaint at the Indiranagar police station, detailing her harrowing experience.

According to her statement, the victim befriended one of the accused, Satish Kashyap, via Instagram a few months prior. On December 12, Satish lured her to Lucknow, picking her up near BBD University. What began as what she believed to be a casual outing quickly devolved into a nightmare. After taking her for a drive around the city, Satish allegedly transported her to a secluded location in Amarai village, where his accomplices—Yusuf, Jatin, and Mannu Yadav—were waiting.

Tragically, the victim was held at gunpoint and brutally gang-raped. The perpetrators threatened her life if she attempted to resist or disclose the assault. Following the ordeal, Satish returned the distraught victim to the university area but warned her against speaking out.

The victim managed to overcome her fear and reported the incident on December 15, just days after the assault. Acknowledging the psychological toll it took on her, the authorities noted the delay was primarily due to fear for her safety.

Inspector Sunil Kumar Tiwari confirmed that police teams have been dispatched to locate the accused, and a thorough investigation is in progress. This distressing case underscores the ongoing crisis of women’s safety in India and highlights the urgent need for effective measures to combat such atrocious crimes. As the community rallies for justice, many are calling for swift action against the perpetrators to ensure that victims feel empowered to come forward.
