BD Healthcare Summit Highlights Importance of Resilience and Sustainability in Regional Ecosystems

BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) recently hosted the BD Healthcare Summit in the UAE, focusing on the theme “Pioneering for Patients and Care Providers of Tomorrow.” The summit brought together regional experts from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the Middle East to discuss the importance of building resilience and sustainability in the healthcare sector.

Key speakers at the event included Dr. Sumaya Al Blooshi, who delved into talent attrition and workforce burnout, and Ms. Mawahib Wang, who discussed Nursing Economics & Leadership in healthcare. The summit also highlighted the role of robotics and automation in healthcare operations, with speakers like Dr. Rola Hammoud and Dr. Shweta Narang presenting on Automation & Digitalization for Patient Safety and Laboratory Medicine.

Sustainability was a key focus of the summit, with Dr. Sarah Al Dallal speaking on Lessons in Efficiency from Health Economics and Outcomes Research. Fiona Garin, Vice President of Strategic Marketing at BD, emphasized the importance of striving for sustainability and resilience in healthcare through medical technologies and BD’s Signature Programs.

Dr. Maher Elhassan, Vice President and General Manager for the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey, expressed gratitude to all the speakers and participants for their contributions to the conversation.
