Twenty-one cybersecurity-related merger and acquisition (M&A) deals were announced in July 2026.

According to reporting by SecurityWeek, these transactions reflect ongoing consolidation in the cybersecurity sector, which saw over 420 acquisitions in 2025 alone.

Key Acquisitions in July 2026

Among the notable deals, Bank of America plans to acquire UK-based MDSec Consulting Limited, enhancing its cybersecurity consulting capabilities in northern England. MDSec employs approximately 65 cybersecurity professionals.

Additionally, Barracuda Networks has acquired Texas-based Evo Security, integrating its identity and access management capabilities into Barracuda’s BarracudaONE platform. The financial details of this acquisition remain undisclosed.

Cribl, based in San Francisco, has acquired Israeli startup CardinalOps, which specializes in AI detection engineering. This acquisition aims to enhance threat coverage and reduce log management costs for enterprise security operations centers (SOCs).

Cybersecurity leader CrowdStrike is set to acquire the intellectual property of XM Cyber from the Schwarz Group, allowing for the integration of exposure management and attack-path analysis into its offerings. The financial terms of this deal have not been disclosed.

In another significant move, Cyera has agreed to acquire Oasis Security for approximately $1 billion, aiming to unify data security with non-human identity governance.

Other notable acquisitions include:

  • Infoblox’s acquisition of Kentik, enhancing network intelligence and observability.
  • Okta’s purchase of Permiso Security for around $200 million, which will bolster its identity threat detection capabilities.
  • Palo Alto Networks’ acquisition of Embrace, focusing on mobile and web observability.
  • Qualcomm’s acquisition of SAM Seamless Network, integrating IoT cybersecurity solutions into its chipsets.

These transactions highlight the dynamic nature of the cybersecurity landscape as companies seek to enhance their capabilities and address evolving threats.
