Intersec 2025 will focus on cybersecurity

Intersec 2025, the leading security and safety exhibition in the Middle East, is set to return to the Dubai World Trade Centre from 14 to 16 January 2025 with a renewed focus on cybersecurity. In its 26th edition, Intersec 2025 will shine a spotlight on the importance of cybersecurity in today’s rapidly evolving threat landscape.

The event will feature a dedicated startup zone and Innovation Stage, showcasing cutting-edge solutions and advancements in the cybersecurity sector. This strategic focus aims to provide visitors with a comprehensive perspective on the real-world threats faced by the industry today.

Grant Tuchten, Portfolio Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, expressed his excitement about welcoming the UAE Cyber Security Council as a supporting partner for Intersec 2025. The collaboration with the UAE Cyber Security Council will enhance the value of the cybersecurity sector at the event through cutting-edge content, awareness sessions, and workshops.

The importance of cybersecurity in the UAE cannot be overstated, as highlighted in the 2024 State of the UAE – Cybersecurity Report. The report reveals significant cybersecurity challenges faced by the UAE, with ransomware attacks comprising over half of cyber incidents. The UAE Cyber Security Council has reaffirmed its support as a partner for the cybersecurity sector at Intersec 2025.

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cyber Security Council, emphasized the importance of promoting cyber awareness in the UAE and driving global growth in the security sectors through strategic partnerships with Messe Frankfurt Middle East and Intersec. The 26th edition of Intersec promises to be a valuable platform for advancing cybersecurity awareness and innovation in the region.
