"Dark Web Hacking Services: Access Social Media Accounts for Just $450 in Ahmedabad"

Ahmedabad: Your Privacy is Worth Only $450!

In a shocking revelation, the dark web has emerged as a bustling marketplace for hacking services, offering illegal access to social media accounts for as little as $450 (approximately Rs 38,600). Investigations have uncovered dedicated hacking groups operating on hidden sites, openly advertising their services for platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp, and email.

One notorious group, known as "Hacking Squad," claims to guarantee a 100% success rate and facilitates communication through encrypted messaging app Telegram. The alarming trend comes to light following a recent incident in Ahmedabad, where a woman from Bopal reported her Instagram account was hacked. The extortionists demanded Rs 2 lakh, but after involving the Cybercrime police, the demand was dropped.

A senior police officer stated, "On the dark web, there are services that can provide access to any social media account or device." This revelation coincides with a disturbing incident where CCTV systems of a private hospital in Rajkot were compromised, with the perpetrators reportedly using tutorials from foreign-based hackers on Telegram.

The hacking process typically involves exploiting vulnerabilities within social media platforms or employing phishing techniques to trick users into revealing their login credentials. Once an account is compromised, hackers transfer complete access to the buyer, putting personal and corporate accounts at significant risk.

Experts warn that the affordability and accessibility of these hacking services contribute to a sharp increase in cybercrime. "These services pose a direct threat to online privacy and security," the police official added, emphasizing the urgent need for enhanced cybersecurity measures. As the dark web continues to thrive, users are urged to remain vigilant and protect their online identities.
