The Dubai Airshow 2025 is gearing up to take place at Dubai World Central, a significant event supported by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who serves as the Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. This edition is poised to be the largest and most innovation-centric iteration in the history of the event.
A Hub for Aviation and Technology
The Airshow aims to bring together leaders from global aviation, defense, space, and advanced mobility sectors. This collaboration reinforces the UAE’s ambition to be a world-class center for next-generation technologies. According to Sheikh Mohammed, the event is a testament to the UAE’s visionary outlook and consistent investments in aviation, space, and defense innovations.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that the Airshow has become a vital global platform for showcasing new solutions, forging partnerships, and promoting sustainable development across key sectors. Over the years, it has demonstrated itself as a premier venue for unveiling cutting-edge technologies and offering a space for innovative ideas that can redefine the future of crucial industries.
“As the Airshow continues to expand, it attracts major international firms and organizations, making it a preferred destination for innovation,” he stated. He also highlighted the event’s role in supporting a knowledge-based economy and reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to advancing both science and technology.
Record Scale of Participation
Set to host more than 1,500 exhibitors, this year’s Airshow features an impressive lineup that includes:
- 440 new exhibitors
- 148,000 anticipated visitors
- 490 delegations from civil and military sectors
- 21 national pavilions, including Morocco’s first appearance
- 98 chalets
- 8,000 square meters of newly added exhibition space
- 120 startups alongside 50 investors
- 200+ aircraft on display
Notably, this year’s exhibition promises to showcase aircraft such as Joby Aviation’s eVTOL, General Atomics’ CCA, and other new entrants like the COMAC C919 and C929, making it the largest flying display in the event’s history.
Spotlight on Space Innovation
In partnership with the UAE Space Agency, the Dubai Airshow 2025 will unveil the largest Space Pavilion yet, featuring notable international space agencies, leading tech firms, startups, and researchers. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the UAE Space Agency, mentioned that the Airshow reflects the remarkable strides made by the UAE in the space sector.
The event aligns with the National Space Strategy 2030, aimed at cultivating a comprehensive and sustainable space economy while showcasing the UAE’s commitment to advanced technologies and nurturing national talent. A two-day Space Conference is also planned, bringing together over 50 global experts, astronauts, and industry leaders to discuss responsible space usage and emerging technologies.
eVTOLs: A Historical First
A highlight for this year is the participation of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, marking the first time they will be showcased in a flying display. Joby Aviation’s eVTOL will demonstrate advancements in urban air mobility. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, remarked that this achievement demonstrates Dubai’s ambition in leading advanced air mobility initiatives and creating progressive regulatory environments.
Military leaders also emphasized that the Airshow underlines the UAE’s commitment to defense innovation, focusing on advanced technologies and strengthening international collaborations. Elite aerobatic teams will feature prominently, showcasing operational excellence and multinational cooperation.
Comprehensive Conference Programme
This year’s conference schedule is notably extensive, featuring over 450 speakers across 12 specialized tracks, which include:

- Passenger Experience

- Cybersecurity
- Airport Tech
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, highlighted that the keynote tracks will convene industry leaders to discuss crucial topics like digital transformation, enhancing passenger journeys, and sustainable practices.
Innovation Zones and Sustainability Initiatives
Dubai Airshow 2025 will introduce several new zones aimed at fostering innovation:
- Inspiration Zone for early-stage founders and startups
- NextGen Leaders Program focusing on university-led research
- Wellness Zone enhancing the visitor experience
- Vista will serve as the dedicated startup hub
Sustainability remains a core focus, with initiatives such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel availability, renewable energy-powered exhibition halls, and a Better Stands Program promoting reusable stand designs.
For the first time, there will be evening events, including Airshow After Dark featuring night-time activities and a drone show, as well as the “Party on the Runway” event at Skydive Dubai, expanding the overall visitor experience. A public grandstand known as SkyView will feature aerial performances, meet-and-greet opportunities with pilots, and various dining options over five days of stunning displays.
