Empowering Growth: TikTok and Visa’s Initiative for SMBs in the UAE

In a landscape that increasingly prioritizes digital engagement, TikTok and Visa have joined forces to create a transformative opportunity for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in the United Arab Emirates. This strategic collaboration aims to equip these enterprises with essential tools, resources, and financial incentives designed to help them thrive in the ever-evolving digital economy.

A New Era for SMBs

Set to launch on July 1, 2025, the partnership introduces a compelling offer: SMBs that spend $250 on their inaugural TikTok advertising campaign via a Visa Commercial card will receive $150 in TikTok Ad Credits. This financial incentive not only helps to reduce marketing costs but also unlocks significant potential for businesses to broaden their reach and attract new audiences. The campaign is tailored specifically for first-time users of TikTok’s Ads Manager, and will remain active until September 30, 2025.

Yet, the offerings do not stop at ad credits. Participating businesses will gain access to a wealth of exclusive benefits, including specialized TikTok masterclasses, interactive Q&A sessions with experts, and a dedicated resource hub named “Grow with TikTok.” As an added incentive, the first three SMBs to engage with the platform will receive a free creator-made advertisement, enhancing their marketing efforts from the get-go.

Championing the Heartbeat of the Economy

Joanne Chehab, TikTok’s Head of Business Partnerships for the MENA region, emphasizes the crucial role of SMBs within the UAE’s economic framework. “SMBs are the heart of the UAE’s economy, and we are committed to helping them thrive in the digital era," Chehab notes. This commitment is evident in the partnership with Visa, which seeks to provide more than just financial support. The initiative is about delivering the knowledge and creative tools SMBs need to engage authentically on TikTok, aligning seamlessly with the UAE’s vision for innovation and digital growth.

Bridging Gaps Through Collaboration

This partnership stands as a significant milestone in merging financial empowerment with digital creativity. As businesses navigate the complexities of digital marketing, Visa’s established payment solutions paired with TikTok’s dynamic platform create a unique opportunity for SMBs to gain confidence and scale effectively in a digital-first world.

“Visa is proud to support SMBs; they are essential drivers of economic resilience and innovation in the UAE," says Salima Gutieva, Visa’s VP and Country Manager for UAE. Her insights underline the necessity for businesses to not only reach new customers but also acquire the skills to succeed in a competitive market. "Through our collaboration with TikTok, we are enabling businesses to access new customers not only through digital marketing but also equipping them with the skills needed to succeed,” she adds, reflecting Visa’s steadfast commitment to the nation’s digital transformation agenda.

Inspiring Future Entrepreneurs

By catalyzing this collaboration, TikTok and Visa intend to propel the SMB sector toward greater heights—both financially and creatively. The initiative is positioned as a crucial element in the broader strategy to foster digital adoption and economic diversification. It signals a clear message: the future of business growth lies in harnessing the power of social media coupled with smart financial strategies.

As the UAE continues on its path of innovation and entrepreneurship, this partnership exemplifies a promising direction for small businesses eager to make their mark in the digital realm. The blend of TikTok’s engaging platform and Visa’s trusted financial solutions presents a unique opportunity for SMBs to not only survive but thrive in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

In a world defined by digital engagement, the collaboration between TikTok and Visa is more than just an initiative; it’s a commitment to nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit that lies at the heart of the UAE’s economic identity. As the initiative unfolds, it will undoubtedly inspire a new wave of innovation and creativity among the region’s small and medium-sized enterprises.
