Ethiopia, with a booming construction market valued at approximately $67 billion, is gearing up to host the Big 5 Construct Ethiopia event from June 26 to 28, 2025. Set to take place at the Millennium Hall in Addis Ababa, this event is officially endorsed by the Ministry of Urban & Infrastructure. It marks a significant opportunity for industry professionals to engage and explore new avenues in one of Africa’s most promising markets.

This year’s event will also co-host the inaugural East Africa Infrastructure & Water Expo, designed to foster connections between international companies and regional infrastructure opportunities. The expo is poised to be a centerpiece in discussions around large-scale projects and investments in the area.

At the heart of Ethiopia’s construction growth are several landmark projects. The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam stands as a symbol of progress, along with the La Gare urban redevelopment and Abusera International Airport. These key developments are catching the attention of construction firms and suppliers, amplifying interest in Ethiopia’s substantial infrastructure market, which is valued at an impressive $395 billion.

Attendees can expect to see over 230 exhibitors at the event, representing renowned brands such as Jotun, NAFFCO, and Emirates National Copper Factory. These exhibitors will showcase their latest products and solutions, aligning with the growing demand for construction technology and innovation in the region.

International participation is a highlight of the event, with country pavilions featuring contributions from nations including Germany, Türkiye, and China. These pavilions will present innovative solutions across various sectors, focusing on smart cities and waste management strategies that are critical for sustainable urban development.

In addition to the exhibition, attendees can engage in CPD-certified talks that cover a range of topics such as architecture, technology, and the use of sustainable building materials. The Infra360 and Water360 programs will address pertinent infrastructure challenges, offering insights and potential solutions to key stakeholders.

Moreover, an exclusive invite-only event, the East Africa Infrastructure & Water Summit, will convene policymakers and industry experts. This summit aims to discuss strategic development pathways for the region, addressing the complex challenges and opportunities within Ethiopia’s evolving infrastructure landscape.
