## New Codeshare Agreement Between Etihad Airways and Tunisair Enhances Air Connectivity

Etihad Airways and Tunisair have joined forces to enhance air travel connections between Abu Dhabi and North Africa. This strategic codeshare agreement is designed to accommodate the increasing demand for travel, tourism, and business exchanges between these two regions.

### Convenient Booking Options for Travelers

With the new partnership, passengers can now conveniently book flights from Abu Dhabi to Tunis using either airline’s flight codes on Etihad’s operated services. This collaboration facilitates a more streamlined travel experience, allowing travelers to enjoy the ease of a single ticket, simplified check-in, and automatic baggage transfer to their final destinations.

### Details on the Abu Dhabi-Tunis Route

This agreement encompasses Etihad’s three weekly flights along the Abu Dhabi-Tunis route, which officially commenced on November 1, 2025. The services utilize Etihad’s Airbus A321LR aircraft, which is noted for its exceptional onboard hospitality and comfort. The aircraft features three classes: two First Suites, fourteen Business seats, and a spacious Economy section with 144 seats.

Antonoaldo Neves, the CEO of Etihad Airways, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “By collaborating with Tunisair, we are bridging Abu Dhabi with travelers from across North Africa. There is a growing interest in what Abu Dhabi has to offer, whether it’s business opportunities, trade connections, or tourism.” Neves further noted that the codeshare agreement enhances accessibility, making it easier for Tunisair’s customers to reach Abu Dhabi and enjoy the range of services available.

### Tunisair’s Perspective on Enhanced Connectivity

Halima Ibrahim Khouaja, the CEO of Tunisair, shared her excitement about the collaboration, highlighting that it unlocks new travel possibilities for their customers. “By connecting the Maghreb and Africa to the Gulf, we are significantly broadening the reach of travel options. Abu Dhabi represents a crucial market for Tunisair, and working together with Etihad allows us to extend our network further,” she remarked. Khouaja also stressed the importance of this partnership in reinforcing the air bridge between North Africa and the Gulf region, reinforcing Tunisair’s role as an essential player in regional connectivity.

Tunisair brings over 75 years of airline experience to this partnership, having established a significant presence in the Tunisian market. The airline is well-regarded for its service to key destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and North America.

On its part, Etihad Airways boasts an extensive network with more than 40 codeshare partnerships worldwide. This allows them to connect travelers to over 500 destinations, strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading international aviation hub.
