Group-IB signs MoU with University of Prince Mugrin to strengthen cybersecurity ecosystem

Group-IB, a global leader in cybersecurity technologies, has partnered with the University of Prince Mugrin (UPM) to enhance cybersecurity education and expertise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in a ceremony attended by HE Dr Bander M. Hajjar, marking the beginning of a comprehensive collaboration between the two entities.

The partnership aims to equip UPM students with industry-leading cybersecurity solutions such as Managed Extended Detection and Response (XDR) and threat intelligence, preparing them for successful careers in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. Additionally, both institutions will work together to design educational curricula and provide internship opportunities to UPM students with Group-IB’s incident response teams.

Mohammad Flaifel, Business Development Manager at Group-IB, expressed the importance of this alliance in strengthening cyber-resilience and empowering the next generation of cybersecurity professionals in Saudi Arabia. HE Dr Bandar bin Mohammed Hajjar highlighted the significance of this collaboration in aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 and preparing students to excel in cybersecurity, contributing to the Kingdom’s cyber defenses.

This partnership signifies a proactive step towards developing a skilled cybersecurity workforce and driving innovation in the field. By providing students with practical skills and hands-on training, Group-IB and UPM are committed to nurturing a generation of cybersecurity experts who will safeguard critical infrastructure and contribute to the Kingdom’s cybersecurity landscape.
