GWC’s Strategic Growth and Transformation in 2025

Reflecting on a Year of Progress

On February 15, 2026, Gulf Warehousing Company Q.P.S.C. (GWC) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at its Ras Bufontas Free Zone facility in Doha, offering shareholders a platform to reflect on the company’s 2025 achievements and future direction. Chaired by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jaber Al Thani, the meeting was attended by GWC’s external auditors, Ministry of Commerce representatives, and shareholders, ensuring transparency and collaboration.

Financial Highlights and Dividend Approvals

During the AGM, shareholders approved key agenda items, including a cash dividend of QAR 0.10 per share, representing 10% of the nominal value. The Board of Directors’ report detailing GWC’s activities and financial performance for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025, was ratified. This included approval of the audited financial statements, profit and loss reports, and the discharge of Board members from liability.

In 2025, GWC demonstrated resilience and operational efficiency, with total revenues reaching QAR 1.38 billion. Operating profits were reported at QAR 232 million, while net profits stood at QAR 120 million, with an earnings per share of QAR 0.205. These figures highlight GWC’s commitment to disciplined execution and its ongoing investment in core logistics capabilities.

Emphasizing Strategic Integration and Expansion

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that 2025 was marked by strategic integration and expansion. He remarked, “Through a clear focus on expansion, integration, innovation, and resilience, we continued to fortify our platform, ensuring value creation for shareholders while supporting Qatar National Vision 2030.” This forward-thinking approach solidifies GWC’s position in an increasingly interconnected global trade environment.

GWC has not only enhanced its local footprint, but it has also expanded its operations across three continents, with over 15 locations including the GCC, the UK, and the US. Notable strategic hubs such as Logistics Village Qatar, Al Wukair Logistics Park, and Bu Sulba Warehousing Park anchor this growth, significantly enhancing intra-GCC connectivity.

Major Milestones: The Quivo Acquisition

A significant achievement in 2025 was GWC’s acquisition of a strategic stake in Quivo. This partnership extends GWC’s reach beyond the GCC into Europe and North America, effectively amplifying global e-commerce connectivity. The collaboration merges logistics infrastructure with a technology-driven platform, allowing local and regional retailers to access global marketplaces efficiently.

Sheikh Abdulla Bin Fahad Bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani, GWC’s Group Managing Director, stated the importance of this integration and expansion during the year. He emphasized GWC’s focus on technology and sustainability, stating, “Strengthening interoperability at scale supports Qatar’s role as a logistics hub, ensuring efficient, resilient, and connected flows across markets.”

Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability has been a fundamental aspect of GWC’s operations. In 2025, the company implemented several initiatives, such as solar programs that cut energy consumption by 25% and water recycling efforts that generated over 268,000 cubic meters of irrigation water. Moreover, waste diversion initiatives prevented over 2,000 tonnes of materials from entering landfills, underscoring GWC’s dedication to sustainable practices.

Matthew Kearns, GWC’s Group CEO, reiterated the focus on building an integrated logistics platform that links physical infrastructure with digital capabilities. He shared that investments in interoperability and operational efficiency are key to supporting customers in regional and international markets.

Recognition and Awards

GWC’s progress has not gone unnoticed in the logistics sector. The company was recognized among Forbes Middle East’s Sustainability Leaders for the third consecutive year and received MEED’s “Project of the Year” award for its innovative wastewater treatment plant at Bu Sulba Warehousing Park. Additionally, Al Wukair Logistics Park was honored as “Logistics Project of the Year” at the Logistics Middle East Awards, highlighting GWC’s commitment to excellence in logistics and sustainability.
