Honeywell Unveils Himaya Center in Jubail to Bolster Cybersecurity in Saudi Arabia

In a significant move to enhance industrial cybersecurity, Honeywell has officially launched the Himaya Center in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The announcement was made during the IKTVA Forum and Exhibition in Dhahran, marking a pivotal step in the Kingdom’s journey towards digital transformation and enhanced security measures.

The Himaya Center, strategically located within Honeywell’s Jubail office, aims to provide localized cybersecurity services tailored for critical sectors such as energy, manufacturing, and utilities. This initiative aligns with Honeywell’s commitment to addressing three major megatrends, including automation, and is designed to fortify the Kingdom’s operational technology (OT) security capabilities against evolving cyber threats.

Abdullah Al-Juffali, President of Honeywell Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, emphasized the center’s role in supporting the Kingdom’s localization and industrial transformation goals. “The launch of the Honeywell Himaya Center is a testament to our dedication to supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambitious vision set forth by the IKTVA program,” he stated. The center will offer Managed Security Services (MSS) and utilize Honeywell’s advanced Cyber Insight and Cyber Watch software solutions to ensure compliance with the National Cybersecurity Authority’s regulations.

With Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity market projected to soar from $3.6 billion to $10.5 billion by 2032, driven by digital transformation and rising cyber threats, the Himaya Center is poised to play a crucial role in this growth. Honeywell’s presence in Saudi Arabia spans over 70 years, during which it has actively contributed to the nation’s technological advancement and sustainability efforts. The Himaya Center is not just a facility; it represents a commitment to building a resilient and self-reliant industrial ecosystem in the Kingdom.
