Infoblox Welcomes Justin Kappers as Chief Information Officer

Infoblox has recently appointed Justin Kappers as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). With this strategic addition, Kappers will oversee the global IT organization at Infoblox, driving initiatives that enhance operations, improve employee experience, and advance artificial intelligence (AI) applications to support the company’s ongoing growth trajectory.

A Wealth of Experience

Justin Kappers arrives at Infoblox with an impressive background, boasting over 20 years of experience in consulting and technology. His expertise spans several critical areas including enterprise applications, IT strategy, and operations, particularly in large-scale technology deployments. Before joining Infoblox, Kappers held a prominent role at NetApp, a leading enterprise data storage company valued at $6.5 billion. As the Vice President of Enterprise Applications at NetApp, he managed a diverse, global team positioned in locations such as San Jose, Raleigh, Cork, and Bengaluru.

At NetApp, Kappers was instrumental in modernizing core business functions, focusing on systems like customer relationship management (CRM), configure price quote (CPQ), and subscription management. He integrated AI and automation into these systems, resulting in streamlined processes that significantly boosted productivity, particularly in Customer Success, Support, and Sales departments.

Leadership Roles Prior to Infoblox

Before his tenure at NetApp, Kappers played vital roles at Broadcom, where he established the Enterprise Program Management Office. He also served as the IT chief of staff, a position that required him to oversee the company’s IT strategy, supplier management, communications, and investment oversight. His career began at Deloitte, where he gained valuable experience in application implementation, IT process optimization, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance evaluations while working in cities like Chicago and Sydney.

Vision for the Future

In welcoming Kappers to the team, Scott Harrell, Infoblox’s President and CEO, emphasized the significance of his leadership during this critical phase of business growth. Harrell noted, “Justin joins Infoblox at a time of incredible business momentum, and his leadership will be key to helping us scale and go faster.” Kappers’ focus on operational excellence and his vision for leveraging AI technologies are expected to significantly contribute to Infoblox’s growth and innovation.

In his own words, Kappers expressed enthusiasm about his new role, stating, “I’m thrilled to join Infoblox during a time of such strong momentum. AI is transforming how enterprises operate, and I look forward to applying those technologies inside Infoblox to accelerate business performance and deliver an outstanding experience for our customers and employees.”

Academic Background

Kappers holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Known for his operational discipline and collaborative leadership style, he has a proven track record of delivering results efficiently. Outside of his professional pursuits, Kappers enjoys traveling and is currently based in San Diego, California.

As Infoblox embarks on this new chapter with Kappers at the helm of IT, the emphasis on strategic growth, employee engagement, and AI-driven solutions is expected to pave the way for further success in the competitive tech landscape.
