Intersec 2025 Awards Celebrate Innovations in Security and Fire Protection

Dubai, UAE – The Intersec 2025 Awards, hosted on January 15 at the Ritz Carlton DIFC, showcased remarkable innovations and achievements in safety, security, and fire protection, affirming the UAE’s position as a leader in the sector. This year’s ceremony saw a record 1,421 entries from over 30 countries, with the UAE securing an impressive eight out of 16 accolades across various categories.

The awards highlighted the industry’s commitment to excellence, introducing three new categories: the Excellence in Testing, Evaluation, and Certification Award, the CISO of the Year Award, and Consulting Leadership in Fire Safety, Security, and Cybersecurity Award. The inaugural CISO of the Year title went to Harrison Nnaji, Group Chief Information Security Officer at First Bank of Nigeria, recognized for significantly bolstering the bank’s cybersecurity framework.

In the UAE, notable winners included the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) and Luxury Owners Association Management Company LLC (LOAMS). The prestigious Cyber Hub of the Year Award was jointly awarded to CultureAI and Hive Pro for their innovative platforms, enhancing cybersecurity measures across various sectors.

The ceremony also honored groundbreaking technologies, such as Sensortec’s 320MP Panoramic Camera, awarded the Premier Homeland Security Solutions Award, and FIBER SENSYS INC’s EchoPoint EP9300™ for Exemplary Perimeter Security Solutions. Furthermore, Dr. Naseem Rafee, CEO of Dubai Municipality’s Environment, Health, and Safety Agency, was celebrated as a trailblazer for women in security.

With over 1,200 exhibitors and 52,000 visitors, the 2025 edition of Intersec solidified its status as the world’s leading safety and security platform. Grant Tuchten, Portfolio Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, emphasized the awards’ role in recognizing individuals and organizations committed to advancing security in an ever-evolving landscape.
