Kaspersky Joins Global Alliance on Artificial Intelligence for Industry and Manufacturing to Promote Sustainable AI Practices

Kaspersky Joins Forces with UNIDO to Promote Responsible AI in Industry

Kaspersky has announced its strategic partnership with the Global Alliance on Artificial Intelligence for Industry and Manufacturing (AIM Global), an initiative launched by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). This collaboration, which emphasizes the safe and sustainable use of AI, is set to drive innovation in the industrial sector while addressing pressing global challenges.

Launched in 2023, AIM Global aims to ensure that the development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) and other frontier technologies are handled responsibly and inclusively. The initiative aligns with the UN Secretary-General’s “Our Common Agenda” by bringing together governments, international organizations, industry leaders, and the private sector under a shared vision: harnessing AI’s transformative potential for a sustainable future.

With nearly two decades of experience in AI and machine learning, Kaspersky is well-positioned to contribute to AIM Global’s mission. Through its AI Technology Research Center, the company will share insights and best practices on AI-powered threat detection and solutions, promoting responsible use in manufacturing and beyond. This collaboration not only reinforces Kaspersky’s expertise but also aims to enhance global awareness regarding the cybersecurity risks posed by AI, from smart devices to automated production lines.

Eugene Kaspersky, the company’s founder and CEO, expressed enthusiasm about joining AIM Global. “We’re very pleased to become part of AIM Global – where world stakeholders with a common vision collaborate to harness the power of AI in a responsible manner,” he stated. Kaspersky is committed to supporting AIM Global’s principles of responsible AI use, which include transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness. Through this collaboration, Kaspersky seeks to foster positive change and innovation, ensuring AI serves as a force for good in the industrial landscape.
