Recently, the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) organized a pivotal youth consultation with a group of young women from various regions of Libya. This gathering aimed to discuss insights from the Advisory Committee (AC) and to gather input on the political future of the country. The consultation featured twenty-six young women from Libya’s eastern, southern, and western regions. Participants also weighed in on the different recommendations from the Advisory Committee. In May, UNSMIL published the Executive Summary of the Advisory Committee’s Report, which detailed four strategic options aimed at advancing Libya’s political process. A public consultation and survey have been launched to gather further input from citizens, allowing them to voice their opinions on which of the proposed paths they favor.
