Disturbing Case of Child Abuse: New York Man Arrested for Allegedly Raping 7-Year-Old Boy and Distributing Videos Online

New York Man Arrested for Alleged Child Sexual Abuse and Dark Web Distribution

In a shocking case that has sent ripples through the community, Ramel Warner, a 23-year-old from New York, has been arrested for allegedly raping a 7-year-old boy he was babysitting and subsequently posting videos of the assault on the dark web. The incident reportedly occurred in 2022, when Warner, known by the nickname "Menah," was caring for the son of a family friend.

Warner was charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a child following a grand jury indictment. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, he recorded six videos of the abuse, including one that lasted over four minutes. The graphic content depicted Warner engaging in heinous acts against the child, which were then distributed online.

The FBI has revealed that Warner had previously worked closely with children in various capacities, including schools and afterschool programs in Brooklyn. At the time of his arrest, he was involved in a dance group for minors operating out of a local middle school. Authorities are concerned that there may be additional victims and are actively seeking information from the public.

James E. Dennehy, the FBI Assistant Director in Charge, condemned Warner’s actions as "unconscionable" and urged anyone with information to come forward. Warner is currently detained pending trial, facing a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in prison if convicted.

This disturbing case highlights the ongoing issue of child exploitation and the critical need for vigilance in protecting vulnerable children. The FBI and NYPD are committed to ensuring justice for the victims and preventing further abuse.
