Ticketmaster Attackers Leak Millions of E-Tickets for Major Artists’ Shows

In a bold move that seems to be a never-ending battle with Ticketmaster, cybercriminals associated with the notorious hacker group ShinyHunters have struck again. This time, they have allegedly shared hundreds of thousands of electronic tickets to upcoming shows of major artists, causing a major headache for the ticket-selling giant.

The leaked tickets, which attackers claim to be millions in number, include popular artists such as Hozier, Morgan Wallen, Foo Fighters, Twenty One Pilots, and many more. The attackers have also targeted Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, releasing barcode data for over 166,000 tickets for her concerts in various US cities.

Ticketmaster, who has been under fire after a recent data breach, is facing a tough situation as the attackers demand a hefty ransom of $2 million. The company has stated that the leaked barcodes have little value as new ones are generated frequently to prevent such incidents.

To make matters worse, the attackers have provided instructions on how to generate a PDF ticket with a fixed barcode, adding insult to injury for Ticketmaster. The company has been struggling in recent months after a breach in their cloud service provider Snowflake’s account, which exposed details of several clients.

As the situation unfolds, Ticketmaster is under pressure to address the leak and ensure the security of their customers’ data. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story as Ticketmaster works to contain the damage caused by the cybercriminals.
