In a significant leap forward for access control technology, Nedap has announced the launch of its innovative AEOS Certificate Management and Device Certificate Management features within its on-premises access control system, AEOS. This groundbreaking development positions AEOS as the first access control system to implement comprehensive certificate management from server to reader, setting a new industry benchmark.

The integration of Certificate Management into AEOS marks a pivotal enhancement in security protocols. By utilizing unique digital certificates, the system establishes secure, encrypted communication across all components, including servers, controllers, and access readers. This advancement not only fortifies the system against cyber threats but also mitigates the risk of unauthorized access, a growing concern in today’s digital landscape.

“By adopting this innovative approach, organizations can centrally manage and distribute unique digital certificates, simplifying the process of maintaining these secure and up-to-date certificates across all AEOS system components,” said Alexander Buiter, Product Owner at Nedap. “This not only streamlines administrative tasks but also strengthens the overall security posture of the organization.”

With cyber threats on the rise, the need for robust security measures has never been more critical. Nedap’s new features promise to revolutionize the way organizations approach access control, ensuring that their systems are not only efficient but also secure. As businesses increasingly rely on digital solutions, AEOS stands out as a leader in safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining operational integrity.

As the first of its kind, Nedap’s Device Certificate Management is poised to reshape the future of access control systems, offering peace of mind to organizations striving to protect their assets in an ever-evolving threat landscape.
