AQSolotl: Pioneering Quantum Technology with CHRONOS-Q from NTU and NUS Collaboration
Singapore’s Quantum Leap: AQSolotl Launches Revolutionary Quantum Controller
Dubai — In a groundbreaking development for quantum technology, AQSolotl, a new deep tech startup, has emerged from a collaboration between Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore and the National University of Singapore (NUS). The startup’s flagship product, CHRONOS-Q, is set to revolutionize how users interact with quantum computers, acting as a vital bridge between conventional computing systems and the quantum realm.
Developed by a team of researchers at Singapore’s Centre for Quantum Technologies, CHRONOS-Q enables seamless control of quantum computers via standard laptops and desktops. Unlike traditional binary systems, quantum computers utilize quantum bits (qubits), allowing them to perform complex calculations at unprecedented speeds. CHRONOS-Q stands out for its remarkable efficiency, determining qubit states in less than 14 nanoseconds, making real-time feedback a reality.
The startup’s co-founders, including NTU Professor Rainer Dumke and CEO Patrick Bore, emphasize the transformative potential of quantum computing. "This technology will not only enhance AI capabilities but also tackle pressing global challenges like climate change and advanced cryptography," Bore stated.
AQSolotl’s innovative controller is designed for scalability, with customizable firmware and the ability to integrate future modules, ensuring it keeps pace with the rapid advancements in quantum technology. The company is currently incubated under NTU’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship initiative, which supports deep tech innovations with significant market potential.
As AQSolotl embarks on its journey, it aims to democratize access to quantum computing, making it a viable option for industries worldwide. With plans to raise funds for AI integration and customized solutions, AQSolotl is poised to position Singapore at the forefront of the global quantum technology landscape.
