In a significant move to bolster its presence in the Middle East, Salesforce has announced plans to establish a new regional headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The announcement was made during a high-profile event at the World Economic Forum, attended by key Saudi ministers, including HE Khalid A. Alfalih, Minister of Investment.

The tech giant’s expansion includes a strategic partnership with IBM to launch a Center of Excellence in Riyadh, aimed at fostering innovation in artificial intelligence. This collaboration will combine Salesforce’s AI capabilities with IBM’s consulting expertise, paving the way for cutting-edge solutions that leverage the Agentforce digital labor platform.

Salesforce’s commitment to Saudi Arabia extends beyond infrastructure; the company has pledged to upskill 30,000 Saudi citizens by 2030, focusing on AI and technology roles. This initiative aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify the economy and enhance local talent. “We’re excited to expand our presence in Saudi Arabia and help drive innovation,” said Marc Benioff, Salesforce’s Chair and CEO.

The new headquarters, set to open in 2025, will be led by Mohammed Alkhotani, the newly appointed Senior Vice President for the Middle East. Alkhotani emphasized the importance of empowering local businesses to navigate the evolving digital landscape.

Saudi officials hailed the announcement as a testament to the Kingdom’s growing reputation as a global tech hub. “Salesforce’s decision to establish its regional headquarters in Riyadh marks a milestone in our journey toward becoming a leader in technology and innovation,” stated Minister Alfalih.

With these developments, Salesforce is not only enhancing its operational capabilities in the region but also contributing to the Kingdom’s ambitious goals for economic transformation and digital advancement.
