The 2026 edition of the Sharjah Summer Promotions has seen a remarkable increase in visitor turnout since its inception on July 1, spanning various regions and cities within the emirate. This retail initiative, organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), is generating substantial consumer interest through its extensive promotional offers, which are part of Sharjah’s summer season running until September 15, 2026.

Strategic Collaborations and Economic Impact

The campaign is bolstered by strategic partnerships with government entities, private sector institutions, and key stakeholders. It features significant discounts and exclusive promotions on a wide array of products from both local and international brands across Sharjah’s shopping malls, retail centers, and commercial outlets. The 2026 Sharjah Summer Promotions program is executed in collaboration with over 55 public and private sector partners, offering more than 60 curated tourism packages and experiences tailored to diverse visitor segments and interests. Additionally, shoppers and visitors have the opportunity to win over 700 prizes throughout the campaign.

This year’s event marks a historic 114 consecutive days of summer activities, with hospitality offers launched early on May 25. These offers include competitive accommodation and hospitality discounts, followed by extensive retail promotions that are currently stimulating consumer activity across the emirate. The promotional campaign provides discounts of up to 75% on various products, including fashion, fragrances, accessories, consumer electronics, and home furnishings. Special promotional offers from restaurants, cafes, and hotels at competitive rates further enhance the appeal of the campaign.

Enhancing the Visitor Experience Through Technology

H.E. Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the SCTDA, emphasized that the 2026 Sharjah Summer Promotions is part of a broader effort to deliver an integrated summer tourism season. This initiative showcases the emirate’s diverse leisure and tourism assets while enhancing its competitiveness as a family-friendly destination for international visitors. The program is designed to leverage Sharjah’s unique blend of urban, coastal, and desert attractions, complemented by a comprehensive portfolio of events and experiences.

Al Midfa noted that the SCTDA is committed to elevating the visitor experience by integrating digital solutions and smart technologies. The introduction of the Sharjah Summer Promotions mobile application, featuring augmented reality (AR) capabilities and electronic prize draws, aims to create a more engaging and interactive shopping and tourism experience. The extension of the promotions through mid-September reflects SCTDA’s strategic vision of sustaining tourism and economic activity throughout the summer.

Supporting Retail Sector Growth

H.E. Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al-Awadi, Director-General of the SCCI, highlighted the organization’s commitment to the sustainable growth of the retail sector. This year, SCCI has introduced practical business support initiatives aimed at strengthening commercial activity. These initiatives include flexible, season-long promotional permit procedures that enable retailers to enhance consumer offers throughout the summer.

These measures are expected to stimulate retail sales across Sharjah’s markets and shopping centers, providing small and medium-sized enterprises with greater opportunities to expand their customer base. Al-Awadi stated that the Sharjah Summer Promotions contribute to increased tourism spending and support local market activity, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Sharjah’s trade and retail sectors.

Prize Draws and Customer Engagement

This year’s Sharjah Summer Promotions features a prize pool of 700 valuable prizes, distributed through five major digital prize draws starting on July 18. The first raffle draw will occur at Mega Mall, followed by subsequent draws at Sahara Centre, Sharjah Central Mall, and Rahmania Mall, culminating in a grand final draw at 06 Mall on September 15. The prize pool includes 30 gold bars and premium shopping vouchers, with customers able to enter by shopping at participating outlets or registering for electronic draws via the mobile application.

Participating shopping centers will also offer instant rewards, shopping vouchers, and promotional incentives throughout the campaign, further enhancing customer engagement and retail spending. The promotional campaign aims to reinforce Sharjah’s position as a leading family-friendly destination, combining entertainment, shopping, and tourism experiences.

Interactive Experiences and Community Engagement

The campaign features the launch of Shamsa Entertainment City, which offers a variety of activities celebrating Sharjah’s diverse landscapes and urban environment. Interactive weekend workshops and live appearances by the Shamsa mascot during major digital prize draws are designed to create memorable experiences for families and shoppers. Over 7,000 exclusive Shamsa-branded gifts will be distributed to children as shopping rewards, enhancing the family-oriented retail experience throughout the summer.

The 2026 Sharjah Summer Promotions also provides residents and visitors with opportunities to explore key tourist attractions, including Al Noor Island, Pearls Kingdom Waterpark, and Mleiha National Park. The program highlights waterfront destinations along the eastern coast and various promotional initiatives set to be unveiled throughout the summer season.

The activation of the Sharjah Summer Promotions mobile application allows shoppers and visitors to participate seamlessly in electronic prize draws and access comprehensive information about the campaign’s events. The application enhances customer engagement by enabling Shamsa to interact with visitors in real time, delivering a more personalized user experience.

The Organizing Committee has also launched a comprehensive digital platform through the campaign’s official website, providing real-time access to top offers, daily events, discounts, and hotel packages. This platform enables shoppers to enter digital prize draws and compete for valuable prizes by making purchases at participating shopping centers or booking accommodations through the dedicated online portal.
