Sophos, a prominent player in the global cybersecurity arena, is set to showcase its innovative AI-native cybersecurity solutions at GISEC Global 2026, taking place from September 16 to 18 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City. In the UAE, organizations that experienced ransomware attacks reported an average recovery cost of approximately US$665,000, underscoring the financial impact of these threats.
To combat these challenges, Sophos is introducing Sophos Fusion, a comprehensive cybersecurity defense system designed to unify fragmented security tools. Harish Chib, Vice President for Emerging Markets, Middle East and Africa at Sophos, emphasized the importance of a coordinated defense system. “As AI agents gain greater access to sensitive systems and data, enterprises need security and governance to keep pace with innovation. This demands a coordinated, AI-native defense system that can respond at the speed and scale of today’s threats,” he stated. At GISEC 2026, Sophos will also highlight its use of Agentic AI to enhance security operations. The company’s Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service employs agentic workflows capable of resolving a significant number of cases autonomously, while still allowing human analysts to oversee complex investigations. This balance aims to reduce the operational burden on security teams while maintaining high confidence in threat responses.
Furthermore, Sophos is advancing its defensive capabilities through collaborations such as the OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Programme and Anthropic’s Project Glasswing. These initiatives enable the integration of advanced AI capabilities into trusted security workflows, facilitating quicker threat investigations and more effective vulnerability remediation. Through Project Glasswing, Sophos gains access to Claude Mythos 5, an advanced AI model that aids in identifying and addressing software vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by malicious actors.
