Exploring Zebra Technologies: Innovations in Security and Asset Management

Zebra Technologies, a leader in mobile computing and asset management, is making waves in the security industry with their innovative solutions for the Government and Defence sectors in the Middle East. Oliver Ledgard, the EMEA Government and Aviation Director of Zebra Technologies, recently sat down with Security Middle East magazine to discuss the company’s role in enhancing security through technology.

Zebra Technologies is at the forefront of mobile computing, asset tracking, and industrial print, with a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency. Ledgard explained how the company is helping government customers drive efficiency in their workflows, whether it be through RFID tracking in large locations or improving operations for emergency services.

With a strong presence in the Middle Eastern Government space, Zebra Technologies is providing tech solutions in three main pillars: mobile digitalisation, asset management, and asset tracking. By leveraging their partner capabilities, the company is able to bring hardware solutions and software services to the region.

One of their success stories comes from the Defence sector in the UK, where Zebra Technologies helped the military reduce the time taken for daily equipment checks by 83% and receiving pallets by 93%. By streamlining processes and enhancing decision-making for emergency services, Zebra Technologies is driving efficiencies and saving costs for their customers.

Looking towards the future, Zebra Technologies is constantly developing new products and technologies to meet the evolving needs of their customers. With innovations like Identity Guarding, which creates personalized profiles for users based on their security level, the company is paving the way for enhanced security operations in the region.

Overall, Zebra Technologies’ stripes of security are not just black and white – they are embracing technology to revolutionize security solutions in the Middle East and beyond.
