Sea Machines Robotics has secured a five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide its autonomy kits to U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF).
The contract allows SOF to utilize Sea Machines’ “drop-in” autonomy kits for enhanced command and control on various vessels. This capability aims to improve expeditionary logistics, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), and maritime security operations.
The autonomy kits are powered by Sea Machines’ proprietary Autonomous Command and Control system, which offers proven commercial autonomy adaptable to a wide range of maritime craft. These kits can be deployed within hours, providing flexible options for asymmetric capabilities tailored to specific operational needs.
Growing Demand for Marine Autonomy
Unmanned vessels and marine autonomy solutions, such as those developed by Sea Machines, are increasingly essential for defense forces globally, particularly in maritime regions like the Arabian Gulf, INDOPACOM, and the Baltic Sea. These technologies enable naval commanders to detect, track, and neutralize threats at sea while minimizing risks to personnel and valuable assets.

Mr. Erik Hedval, Director of Federal Business Captures for Sea Machines, emphasized that this contract signifies a shift towards operational autonomy that can be deployed as needed.
