Opening of Google Cloud Office in Kuwait: A Step towards Digital Transformation and Economic Development

Google Cloud has officially opened its new offices in Kuwait, marking a significant milestone in the company’s dedication to supporting Kuwait’s digital transformation journey. The inauguration event was attended by His Excellency Mr. Omar Saud Al-Omar, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Communication Affairs.

The new Google Cloud offices in Kuwait will serve as a center for collaboration and innovation, bringing together experts to work closely with customers and partners in the region. This expansion showcases Google Cloud’s commitment to supporting Kuwait’s National Vision 2035, which focuses on driving digital transformation, accelerating the smart economy, and developing essential infrastructure.

During the event, Abdul Rahman Al Thehaiban, Managing Director of Google Cloud in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, emphasized the importance of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies in driving economic growth and national development. Google Cloud’s partnership with the government of Kuwait has already led to numerous successes, enriching the country’s economy and creating promising employment opportunities for the youth.

Shaymaa Alterkait, Country Manager of Google Cloud in Kuwait, reiterated the company’s belief in the power of technology to drive economic growth and stability when combined with the efforts of governments, the private sector, and civil society. The expansion of Google Cloud in Kuwait reinforces the company’s dedication to this vision and its commitment to supporting Kuwait’s digital society transformation and economic diversification.
