Tech Disruption Caused by Microsoft Azure Configuration Change: Global Impact and Industry Responses

A major tech issue originating from a configuration change within Microsoft Azure, the company’s cloud computing platform, caused chaos worldwide on Friday. Airlines, banks, media companies, and various businesses were affected by the disruption, which led to connectivity failures for Microsoft 365 services. The issue resulted in the dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) on Windows 10 machines, rendering them unusable.

Reports suggest that the error was triggered by a CrowdStrike ‘Falcon Sensor’ update, impacting airlines, banks, stock markets, and other businesses globally.
