Sam Altman Criticizes ChatGPT and GPT-4 at Stanford Q&A Session

At a recent question-and-answer session at Stanford University, Sam Altman, the creator of ChatGPT and GPT-4, shocked the audience by openly criticizing his own creations. In a video snippet from the event, Altman is seen describing ChatGPT as “mildly embarrassing at best” and labeling GPT-4 as “the dumbest model that any of you will ever have to use again by a lot.”

Altman justified his harsh critique by emphasizing the importance of shipping early and often, believing in iterative deployment. He also expressed his indifference towards the financial costs of developing artificial general intelligence (AGI), stating that as long as the ultimate goal is achieved, the expenses are inconsequential.

These controversial statements have sparked a heated debate on social media platforms, with users expressing their opinions on Altman’s bold remarks. However, Altman seems undeterred by the backlash, as he and his team at OpenAI have recently unveiled their latest creation, Sora.

Sora is a cutting-edge AI model that can transform text prompts into high-fidelity videos, revolutionizing content creation. The platform has already produced its first music video for chillwave musician Washed Out, showcasing its impressive capabilities.

With Sora’s potential to democratize content creation and disrupt traditional industries like Hollywood, Altman’s vision for the future of AI technology is certainly ambitious and controversial. Only time will tell if his bold approach will lead to groundbreaking advancements in the field of artificial intelligence.
