Executive Workshop on Integrating Security with Business Strategy

From January 12 to 14, 2026, the World Trade Centre in Dubai will host an intensive three-day executive workshop. This gathering, organized by the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO), focuses on blending security with overall business strategy.

Workshop Objectives

The Security Strategy Practicum: Balanced Scorecard Approach is designed to equip security and business leaders with actionable strategies that connect security initiatives to observable business outcomes. The workshop aims to illustrate how security can enhance financial performance, ensure operational continuity, build customer trust, and improve internal processes.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will gain insights on aligning their security programs with broader organizational goals. They will explore business-relevant metrics that can showcase the value of security initiatives and how to effectively communicate these results to senior management. Additionally, the practicum will emphasize the importance of cross-functional collaboration and leadership development, essential for proactive risk management and resilience building.

Addressing a Growing Need

As operational environments grow increasingly complex, there is a heightened demand for security leaders capable of articulating the strategic importance of their roles. This workshop is a timely response to that need. Currently, six participants have registered, reflecting interest in the critical role security plays in organizational strategy.

He has spent over a decade advising various organizations across Europe, making him well-versed in aligning business strategies with security initiatives.

Next, John Robert, a global security strategist with a 30-year career experience across 158 countries, will share his insights. Serving as the Global Head of Corporate Security at VFS Global, he will cover topics such as crisis response, AI-driven surveillance technologies, and strategies for maintaining business continuity.

Finally, Nadeem Iqbal, a seasoned leader in security and transformation, will draw on his background as a former Pakistan Army officer with over 25 years of experience in the Middle East. His session will emphasize practical implementation and operationalization of security strategies in complex organizational contexts.
