Khazna Data Centers: Leading the Way in Renewable Energy Practices and Sustainable Operations

Khazna, a leading wholesale data centre provider, is making significant strides towards sustainability by shifting to renewable energy sources like solar. This move aims to reduce reliance on conventional energy and lower greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with global efforts to achieve Net Zero.

The company recently unveiled plans to introduce biofuels to its portfolio of generators, further reducing its dependence on traditional energy sources. Johan Nilerud at Khazna Data Centers highlighted the importance of this transition, noting the critical role data centres play in the digital economy.

Khazna is spearheading sustainable initiatives to mitigate its carbon footprint, with projects such as the AUH6 facility in Masdar City featuring a 7 MWp solar PV plant developed with Emerge. Additionally, the company is adopting innovative cooling methods like adiabatic-free cooling chillers to optimize energy usage and minimize power consumption.

A groundbreaking project is in the works to implement a full-scale liquid-cooling solution in one of Khazna’s new data centres. This initiative, aimed at driving energy efficiency and reducing water usage, will position Khazna as a pioneer in industrial-scale liquid cooling technology.

By proactively embracing renewable energy sources and innovative cooling technologies, Khazna is setting a new standard for sustainability in the data centre industry. With a focus on reducing emissions and enhancing operational efficiency, Khazna is not only meeting the energy needs of AI advancements but also leading the way towards a greener future.
